This 300mm Sunflower Statement Bloom is a one-off House of Layers artwork, created as an exploration of how far our layered construction can be taken.

Precision-cut wooden layers build the sunflower outwards in rich yellow, orange and red tones, with dark green outer foliage adding contrast and depth. At its heart is the feature that makes this piece truly different: a sculptural black centre built from individually applied beads, creating concentric texture, shadow and a subtle change of character as the light moves across it.

That centre is deliberately labour-intensive. Rather than turn it into a standard production variant, we’ve chosen to let this particular bloom remain what it is — a unique statement piece.
